Yet I see a good deal of email going into a Junk folder. SpamSieve says that it is the most current version (2.9. You can adjust SpamSieve to the level of spam filtering that you want by going into the preferences and just sliding the knob to where you want it to be, Conservative with fewer False Positives, all the way up to Aggressive-Catch More Spam. I am using AirMail 2.0.3 and I did check to make sure that I had not accidentally unchecked Use SpamSieve. Left about 90% of highly predicted spam in my box… I have the SpamSieve rule set up as I have for years, Enable junk mail filtering is off. If I quit and relaunch SpamSieve I get the normal log message, e.g. I tried deleting the rule and re-adding it, but the result was the same. Then double-click the SpamSieve application and choose Install Apple Mail Plug-In from the SpamSieve menu at the top-left of the screen. Seems like the problem is that the Move Messages rule is not executing when it should. Message > Rules > Apply > SpamSieve - Move Messages moves the message to the Junk mail folder, as it should. Siphoned only a small amor of spam to the folder. No rules in Outlook’s Mailing List Manager. There are two problems, there was a misconfiguration on my part, and the rules are overly specific. Even though it has 730+ blocklist rules, and filtered over 73k words, not a single message has been flagged as spam. The rule actions should say Run AppleScript Apple Mail - Rescue Good Messages.scpt. Clicking on "new script" gives nothing. Disconnecting it gives "Failed to connect to the server. SpamSieve works well, and its a good option to consider, especially if you find a lot of spam messages sneaking into your Inbox. If I go to Tools - Sieve Message Filters, then I click "connect", it seems to be connecting forever. I didn't know about this extension, but it's not clear to me how to use it.
